Gloria Gaynor

Gaynor was born Gloria Fowles in Newark, New Jersey on September 7, 1943. She's best known for the disco era hit I Will Survive. Gaynor first started out as a singer with the Soul Satisfiers, a jazz/R&B music band, in the 1960s before Johnny Nash sighed her to his Label Jocida in 1965 which resulted in the beautiful funk / soul tracks She'll Be Sorry & Let Me Go Baby.
